Call to Glory at CanCon 2026 is in the books, and what weekend it was! Dice were rolled, hands were shaken and, most importantly, armies were showcased. This was my first time with a black TO’s lanyard for the event and I had the monumental task of putting together the shortlist for the player-voted ‘Best Presented’ award (formerly Coolest Army).
There were some drop-dead gorgeous armies on display this year and I would have loved to have nominated another 5 or 6 more, but the Big Boss made me narrow it down to 13. It truly was an embarrassment of riches.
With so many deserving armies, players had a tough time choosing the winners, but choose they did. Second Runner-up was awarded to Craig Anderson for his incredibly fun cowboy ogres. Bradley Forster nabbed the silver for his sky pirate Skaven KO army, while Christopher Moore took home the Gold (in both Best Presented and Best Painted) for his exquisite Cities of Sigmar army.

So many amazing displays!
Let’s start off by taking a close look at that Podium.
Second Runner-Up: Craig Anderson
Craig obviously had a blast with his cowboy ogres. There’s so many amazing little narrative elements here – I love the saloon doors, the tumbleweed, the Wanted posters, and of course the stetsons! Even the flaming skull is wearing a Stetson!

Runner-up – Bradley Forster
Brad presented his sky pirate KO army – Skaven doing what they do best and nicking things for their own gain! Brad’s conversions are great, the theme works really well and he had some great music pumping while it was on display!

Winner – Christopher Moore
Christopher’s Cities of Sigmar army was rightfully the talk of the tournament. From the exquisite yellow and magenta theme to the intricate freehand, Christopher said he put 800 hours into this army. It shows. Characterful faces abound and all that wood grain was painstakingly painted free hand. Well done Christopher for a very deserving win!

The Best of the Rest
A massive congratulations to the rest of the shortlist, who each made an outstanding effort in overall hobby. It was a pleasure to see all the hard work come to fruition. Keep up the amazing hobby work, everyone!
