Stormbringer Magazine has finally hit Australian shores, and my phone has accordingly lit up with messages from my normy mates asking if this is that thing that I do, and do I know about the magazine? I’m low-key amazed how many people still see TV ads, but I guess it is footy and MAFS season, so if you’re gonna advertise on linear TV then now’s the time to do it. I won’t be subbing to the whole thing, but there are some interesting individual issues along the way that you can snipe. And that doesn’t just mean hitting lucky by seeing them on the shelf:
- You can order single issues from the Hachette website
- Your local newsagent should be able to order specific copies for you
This second option is my top tip and something a lot of people don’t seem to know about. A few years ago, you could effectively get 10x Chainrasps for about 85% off retail, and one guy locally ordered about 20 copies of that Issue 1. They then built a full NH army on the cheap by asking the newsagent to grab him multiple copies of the issues he wanted, such as Bladegheists.
Don’t mess around – the popular issues will sell out rapidly and won’t come back. I’ll be doing some further analysis on the best issues to pick up over on the Patreon, but I also think there’s some value in posting up a simple and complete list of every issue. This information is all out there on the internet, but not in a single straightforward list, so here goes.
And in case you’re wondering, I’m not typing out the word “issue” 80 times.

There is a slight error that I think is worth pointing out. It’s not a “Lord-Arcanum” that comes with Stormbringer, it’s a “Knight-Arcanum” I only bring this up because the “Lord-Arcanum” is a Sacrosanct Chamber unit, all of which are going to Legends in 2025, the Knight-Arcanum I’d not, despite the name, its NOT a Sacrosanct unit.
