Geez that was a big month. The Battlescroll landed and shook things up a fair bit – but the other big news was a well-sourced rumour about a massive Ogors range refresh1. Whitefang doesn’t get much wrong and so I’d say it’s all but confirmed that all the remaining Failcast will be consigned to the dustbin of history.
Longbeards like me know how quickly time can slip away, and how your perception of years and even decades can become unmoored.

It’s not just the crappy resin that’s going away though: the full rumour is down in the footnotes, but there’s a fair amount of dated plastic that’s apparently on the chopping block too. I must admit that although these Glutton minis do have their own charm, it’s all-too-believable that they are old enough to hit the gaming tables at Crown Casino.

I’ll just stick with using my old minis cos I’m a tight arse, but I can’t argue that they needed a refresh. I do have a problem with the Tyrant and Mawpit being retired if that comes to pass – 2019 is way too short a life cycle in my opinion, and if true I’d personally consider that pretty shabby as a point of principle.
It’ll also be interesting to see what the new aesthetic is, because they’ve been flinging darts wildly at the board with every Ogor model they release. The concept of what an Ogor even looks like is all over the shop right now: the Bloodpelt Hunter, Tyrant, Warhulk, Cursed City guy and Frostlord do not bear even the slightest resemblance to each other. They could easily come from entirely different game systems, so let’s see which way they go.

So there’s big changes in the balance of power on the tabletop, and big changes on the way for Ogors. Today we’ll take a look at what else has been happening in the Craic House over the past month, plus a look ahead to what’s coming in October.
Ready? Let’s go.
Indexhammer: September ’25
First up: Zak aimed to help the Spooky Ghost players turn that frown upside down with a run through the key Nighthaunt tech and combos that he likes in the new book. It’s not the Battletome that most NH players wanted, but that doesn’t mean it has to be a complete write-off, and Zak does play this army competitively himself so he knows what he’s talking about.
Pat smashed out a strong 4-1 at Bathurst GT with his Vhordrai-centric SBGL (playing up on top tables all weekend, no submarine). Check out his list and how he played it here:
Zak was back with a write-up on the Chorfs, again focused on the army’s overall tech and his own favourite combos:
And finally I pontificated on the new state of play for Team Green, with my own thoughts on how every Destro army came out of the Battlescroll:

- Orkmann will report back on how Helsmiths of Hashut are performing in their early days TTS.
- And I really do want to crack on with Part Two of that Farewell to Bonesplitterz.
