Let’s go! A lot of AOS players around the world have been making little tokens to represent their Ghyranite Treasures from the Intercept and Recover battle tactics card:

And then Grant (Farmhammer) planted the seed for this contest when he asked our Discord to name his own kitbashed Treasures:

So we ran a kitbashed Ghyranite Treasures hobby contest, to celebrate the creativity that a bunch of nerds with an overloaded bits box and more time than sense can punch out. The results are in, now let’s enjoy having a sticky beak at the best entries we received, starting off with your winner: Tim Barklay, aka Aussie Wargamer!

The Winner: Tim Barklay

Tim has been working on a really sweet army project: a Gloomspite army themed around an underground Troggoth wrestling promotion. So he made his Treasures in line with that theme.

It’s a really sweet idea and I can’t wait to see the final completed army. We wanted to offer up a little hobby prize since this was a hobby comp, and Tim is now the proud owner of a John Blanche paint set. Looking forward to seeing what you cook up next with these paints when they arrive – well done mate.

Treasure is a recurring motif in Andy’s hobby, as we can see from this Treasure Beast thing which he’s been using as a Krondspine. This magnificent creation includes hundreds of hand-cut gold coins, made from rolled Miliput:
