I just wanted to acknowledge that the blog has been pretty quiet over the last couple of weeks for a few reasons – the biggest one being that I’ve started a new role at work, so I’m really struggling to clear out a few hours on a night time to smash into writing full-length articles.
I’ve also bitten off a lot of PC stuff outside of writing the main articles in the past few weeks:
- We have a Cogfort Hobby Challenge for our Patrons, which I’m taking part in
- I’m still working on the PC Global Campaign 2026
- Participating in our PC Book Club
- We’re in the midst of a Patreon series on Helsmiths
So with all of that combined, this week and next are looking pretty lean. I reckon we can really light the fires under the Cogfort Challenge to compensate – since we won’t be publishing as much in May, I reckon we plough this month’s Patreon dollars back into a jacked-up prize for that hobby challenge:
The winner gets a brand-new GW Cogfort as their prize.
At that point you’ll have two Cogforts so you’ll be well on your way to a full Iron March army if you fancied it, and you’ll have some spare bits from the legit kit on hand to make a 3rd. At the very least you’ll have one of each available to you. I reckon we keep the same deadline (end of June) because that’s still five-and-a-half weeks away, and we need to balance giving people enough time with keeping the energy up, but if there’s a consensus to push it back I’m open to feedback.
